Reading and Recipes

Since my last writing, ages and ages ago, I have been reading more of Alice Alfonsi and her husband's collaborations.  The Coffee House Mysteries are excellent, entertaining, and provide a wealth of information about coffee.  The Haunted Bookshop mysteries are a unique hybrid of hard-boiled detective and cozy.  (No recipes in those, but great fun all the same!)
To find out more about these books, visitCoffee House Mysteries webpage
There are recipes here, as well as lots of character information, news, links to book reviews, all sorts of fun stuff for mystery and food fans.
I just made both the Oatmeal Cookie Muffins and the "Cuppa Joe" Mocha Drops.  Both came out absolutely delicious!  Thanks to this author and her website, I also discovered the joys of the Mocha Express coffee maker.  (A stove-top espresso pot that easily produces fabulous coffee.)  There are all sorts of links to information about the Mocha Express and how to use it on this site.
Some of the recipes from the books are not on the website yet.  So buy the latest book, or borrow it from your library, because Murder By Mocha is the only place you'll find the recipe for Chocolate Zombie Clusters, and they are WORTH it!!.
Sorry to only dash off a short note, but this is all I have time for!  Happy reading and eating!
